A long time ago in a frozen wasteland called CanUSA a family of Welsh, British, Kelt, Canadians returned from the roots of their origins...(with the exception of the wife of the man as she was originally a Canadian Indian but the man was of Welsh, British, Kelt descent) anyway....into the land of the frozen peckers. Bugs and pesky critters all over the place...swamps....things that eat metal to death before your very eyes....trees that explode without warning....hundreds of drunk men (and a few women) with guns...shooting little critters in the woods. A madhouse it is! As we settled in...NOT... we made a really solid plan...NOT....on how to return to our homeland where we spent most of our lives. The land of no shadows it is called. It's a place where flood barriers will soon sell like hot potatoes in a Canadian winter. Our house is now in Canada...tears....and the following pages sort of chronicle our voyage on this rocky soil. Almost in chronological order too! |

See,
it ain't all roses over here in no man's land! Had to gather the wood
to build the house to make the fire to make the tea before I could plug
in the playstation. This is our first Canadian Christmas tree as a whole
family so it was a neat experience.

Ahhh...winter. How 'nice'
it could be if only I was 10 years old! It's the white death if you're
a day over 40 years! |

Better
even than winter (like anything is better than winter and the white death)
is good old summer. We had cooler temps than anyone else in the valley
because of the cool sea air. Just over the hill behind the house is St.Margaret's
bay leading to the Bay of Fundy.

The barn is
cold. Cold is the barn in winter....
It was a short walk in the summer but now? The barn is cold in the winter..... |

Winter is
weird...just about everything dies and then...it's sort of born all
over again..suffering a repeat of the same death....generation after
generation after.... WOW... |

What a treck
it became trying to even get to this little bungalow. Soon the snow as
three to five feet deep! The pond froze over and the kids started skating.
I stepped on and....fell through. End of skating for the year.

Ahhhh...summer.
Not all that many blood sucking bugs but load...and I do mean loads of
house flies. Even survived the entire winter. Saw them sunning themselves
on the snow! This pond is spring fed and the kids love to swim here.
